About Ātahu

Ātahu

Haere Mai, (welcome in Maori), to Aotearoa, (New Zealand).  Ātahu means Charm/spell.

Titahi Bay has the Porirua Harbour on one side and the Cook Strait on the other. You will find a crescent-shaped bay that nestles Mana Island between the mainland and the Marlborough Sounds of the South Island in the distance. Ātahu was built on what was just sand and clay, and now features gardens with plants that grow in these coastal conditions.

We are only 20 minutes from the Capital City, Wellington, and 5 minutes from Porirua City, which hold a feast of other opportunities.

About your host

Raewynne’s background has been in Education, Business Project Management, and Nursing.  She has travelled extensively and always envisaged having a home by the sea. With this vision achieved she now enjoys sharing her new home, Ātahu, with guests.

Every endeavour has been made to ensure her guests have a unique experience and care has been taken to ensure comfort, high standards of hygiene, high-quality furnishings, top-of-the-range bedding and some well-deserved pampering.

Stays are tailored to help guests come away feeling rested, and hopefully revitalised from this experience.
